Small Collaborative Partnerships – Bocce for Everyone from 7 to 70

septembrie, 2021

During a period of 18 months, the project aims to involve through sport activities all individuals (especially women living in rural areas) who do not have any social activities in their daily lives. In our project, Bocce coaches will teach this sport to children of 10 to 14 age, and they will replicate the game to their families and people from their community. In this way, both children and individuals will be involved in social life and giving responsibility to children will contribute to their personal development.

We are planning on implementing the project through several meetings and sport activities in Romania🇷🇴 and our partner countries ( Turkey 🇹🇷, Croatia 🇭🇷, Bosnia & Herzegovina 🇧🇦).

This project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union 🇪🇺.

Our organisation is part of a consortium of youth sports organisations from Turkey, Croatia and Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Local activities implemented in 🇷🇴🇹🇷🇭🇷🇧🇦

Each partner organsation implemented at local and regional level different educational sport activities for the communities from the rural area.

In Romania, with the kind support of City Hall and Public Library of the village Contesti, Dambovita County, we succeeded to organize different sport activities where the participants, children, parents and teachers had a first contact with BOCCE. They have learnt the rules of the game and participated at the online trainings followed by several workshops specially designed for them to play this game. Everyone from children to seniors enjoyed these activities and they also trained for the final tournament implemented on 4th of July 2021 when the Rural Public Library celebrated 111 years since its establishment.

Final Tournament in Kemer 🇹🇷

The final BOCCE Tournament was organised by our Turkish partner in Kemer where 4 teams representing each project partner’s country 🇷🇴🇹🇷🇭🇷🇧🇦 played and enjoy the spirit of this game.

The participants gained a lot of experience and acquired all information to promote the game

BOCCE to everyone from 7 to 70.
